Kenneth (Ken) H. Pugh West Winfield Kennth (Ken) H. Pugh, 80, passed away October 29, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1930, in Plainfield, the son of Leslie and Thelma Spaulding Pugh. He was a graduate of West Winfield School and Cornell University. Ken married Ann Hammerstrom on August 21, 1953, in Jamestown, NY. Upon graduation, he operated the Hiteman Farm for several years. He also taught Agriculture at Worcester High School. He then operated the family farm. Ken was councilman for the Town of Brookfield and served on the Bridgewater School Board, the Madison County Agricultural District and the Unadilla Forks Cemetery Association. He also was a member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizens. Besides his wife, Ann, he is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Pitt, of Conesus, Barbara and Joe Mushala, of Cassville, and Dr. Nancy Pugh D.V.M., of Chaffe, NY; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Debbie, of West Winfield, David and Jody, of Cobelskill, and Robert, of West Winfield; six grandchildren, Jeremy and Alicia Pitt, Zachary and Joshua Pugh, and Jennifer and Gregory Pugh; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Pam Hammerstrom, of Toledo, OH; and extended family members, Dr. Barbara Hager and husband, Dr. William Shields, and Gwen Engler. She was predeceased by a sister, Vivian Pugh. Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, West Winfield, with the Rev. Terence P. Healey officiating. The family will recieve relatives and friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in Unadilla Forks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Bridgewater Ambulance or West Winfield Ambulance Funds; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
