Kenneth Edward "Kenny" Reece, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at his home outside of Martinsville.

Kenny was born Thursday, September 21, 1939 to the late William "Jack" and Gladys Reece in Greene County, Indiana.

Kenny was a graduate of Switz City High School and worked as a machinist for several years at Rexnord. Along with Janice, he was a faithful member of Paragon Christian Church. Kenny loved fishing, camping, and boating and absolutely loved taking care of his garden. He loved his kids and grandkids and had an infectious personality that people, especially kids gravitated to. He was known as 'pawpaw' to the neighborhood kids and while Janice made the grilled cheese sandwiches, he was always asked upon to fix their bikes! Kenny will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his unforgettable smile.

Kenny is survived by his daughters, Rita "Sue" Carter (Greg), Cindy A. Reece Lehr, Kimberly E. Hawkins (Ronald); daughter-in-law, Karen Reece; brother, Roy "Joe" Reece (Sharon); sisters, Jackie Dotson, Ruth Bourque, Pam Herrington (Rick); grandchildren, Jason Carter, Jamie Carter, Kyle Reece, Trevor Reece, Lacey Sample, Dean Sample, Leanna Rogers, Michael Wolf, Jacob Wolf; 7 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Pete Coker.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice A. (Holtsclaw) Reece, whom he married June 21, 1959 and passed March 20, 2023; parents, Jack and Gladys Reece; son, Thomas E. Reece; grandson, Joe Carter; brother, Bill Reece; sister, FloAnn Coker, Janice Reel; brothers-in-law, Jerry Dotson, Bill Reel, Frank Bourque.
