Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Riggs, age 61, of the Holts Corner Community, TN, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. Born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, he was the son of the late Leslie Thomas Riggs and Lynda Faye (Emerson) Riggs, who survives.
Mr. Riggs enjoyed working on guitars. Kenny was a huge Tennessee Vols fan and enjoyed watching all sports. He was a member of the class of 1981 at Forrest High School. Kenny enjoyed traveling with several bands and playing his guitar professionally. He attended the Riggs Church of Christ.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Lynda Riggs of Holts Corner, TN; sister, Vicki (David) Bradfield of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Matthew Bradfield of Knoxville, TN; niece, Abigail Bradfield of Knoxville, TN; aunts, Gale Ward and Joan Bivens; uncle, Al Emerson also survive.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 26, 2024 from 4 pm – 8 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 am, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Tim Lavender officiating. Interment will follow at Riggs Cemetery near the Holts Corner Community.
Family and friends will serve as the pallbearers.
Memorial Donations may be made to Riggs Church of Christ, 5905 Nashville Highway, Chapel Hill, TN 37034 in care of Derrick Lynch or to a charity of your choice.
