Kenneth Lee Robinett, lovingly known as "Papa Ken," was born on April 15, 1940, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, to James Arthur Robinett and Mary Eva (Hale) Robinett. He passed away in Springfield, Missouri, on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 85.

Kenneth graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1958. On March 16, 1974, he married the love of his life, Gloria (Chastain) Robinett, at Bois D'Arc Baptist Church, and together they built a loving family and a life filled with laughter.

For many years, Kenneth worked in shipping & receiving at the Headquarters of the Assemblies of God, a place he deeply valued and enjoyed, before retiring at the age of 67. He was a devoted member of Macedonia Baptist Church for 25 years, faithfully serving his community and cherishing the fellowship there.

Papa Ken was an avid sports fan, cheering passionately for his Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals. He loved the outdoors-hunting, fishing, and playing softball for many years-and found great joy in watching his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews compete in football, baseball, softball, basketball, cheerleading, soccer and volleyball. He also loved tending to his flowers and garden, watching them bloom and grow to their full potential. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, Kenneth could make just about anyone smile and feel welcome. His warmth, generosity, and ability to bring joy will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria (Chastain) Robinett; his four children, Denise Robinett, Scott Robinett, (daughter in-law) Rhonda, and Chris Robinett; his cherished grandchildren, Heather, Amanda, Michael, Garrett, Mark, Destany (Kenny), and Tori; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Kelee, Kenyon, Trentin, Destiny, Destiny, Noah, Grayden, Gavin, IsaBella, Asher and Henry, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur Robinett and Mary Eva (Hale) Robinett; his daughter, Karen Robinett; two grandchildren Chondra and Derek; his brothers Dale, Bill, Bob; and his sisters Louise, Maxine, Pauline, and Bernice.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives were brighter because of his presence.

We are going to miss Ken so much. He was a good friend and he was a great part of our little Sunday school class, won´t seem right without him there. He was a true Christian, many times he offered help to us if we needed anything. Our love and sympathy to Gloria who is special to me and to all of Ken´s family.
