Kenneth Bruce "Ken" Rowley

Kenneth Bruce Rowley, age 72, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Mr. Rowley is survived by his wife, Gloria Anderson Rowley of Lawrenceville, GA; children, Kenneth Rowley of Peachtree Corners, GA, George Rowley of Lawrenceville, GA; mother Marilyn Maloof of Suwanee, GA; sister Cindy Panos of Gainesville, GA.
He attended Shamrock High School and graduated from Carson-Newman College earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree. He was a member of the Phi Mu Delta Literary Society.
Over his adult life, he earned Masters Degrees in Special Education and Counseling and continued on to earn a Specialist Degree in Counseling from Georgia State University. He worked for the Gwinnett, Hall, and Walton County School Systems in the capacity of a Special Education teacher and a guidance counselor for 34 years before retirement. During the 1980s, Ken owned a small counseling practice in Duluth, GA.
Ken was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon, and sang in the choir.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church, 3000 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30045, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, with Senior Pastor Don Witzel officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. just prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International in memory of Ken's service to them.
