Kenneth Scott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wm. Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC on Feb. 6, 2026.
Kenneth "Norm" Scott, 84, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2026, in Champion, Ohio, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in 1941, in Ithaca, New York, Norm was the son of Kenneth C. and Jeannette C. Scott. He moved to Ohio at age 15 and graduated in 1959 from Champion High School. In 1999, he and his wife Donna moved to Clarion, PA for 20 years before relocating back to Champion, Ohio in 2021.
Norm enjoyed a long and dedicated career in commercial printing. Norm worked for several respected companies over the years, including Falls Printing, The Youngstown Vindicator, Cox Lithographing and finally retired from Superior Printing in 1999. His commitment to his craft and his colleagues was evident in his active membership in the Graphic Communications Local 546-M Union.
On a personal front, Norm was known to be the first person to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor, a man that could build or fix anything from classic cars to cabins and his overall fun personality with a wicked dry wit. He shared 63 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife Donna. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising two daughters: Carol Scott of Champion, Ohio and LeAnn (Chris) Isaly of New Port Richey, Florida.
Norm's interests reflected his personality. He enjoyed hunting and restoring classic cars and tinkering in his garage and shed-pastimes that brought him joy and camaraderie. A loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he rarely missed a game. He was also an active member of several fraternal organizations in Clarion, Pennsylvania: The Fraternal Order of the Eagles; The Loyal Order of the Moose-where he once served as Governor-and The American Legion.
Norm took great pride in his growing family. He was a cherished grandfather to Danielle, Allison, Will, Grace, and CJ; and a delighted great-grandfather to Rowan, Theo (Norman), and Anna. His legacy continues through them-each carrying forward pieces of his warmth and character.
He is also remembered by his siblings: sisters Anita of Clemmons, North Carolina; Peggy (Jerry) Haines of Cortland, and Kathyrn (Rick) French of Vermont, and brothers Dan (Joan) Armitage of Dryden, New York, Rick of Leavittsburg and Bob (Marilyn) of Warren. His extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews, sisters- and brothers-in law with whom he shared many good family times.
His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him-family members near and far as well as countless friends whose lives he touched over the years.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Heartland Hospice and Jodi's Angels for their compassionate care and support during Norm's final days at home.
A Memorial Service is planned for April 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel 164 N. High St. Cortland, OH 44410. Online condolences can be made at www.lanefuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully encourages donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital Fund or the Warren Animal Welfare League.
May Norm's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
