It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth Glen Setters, who passed away at the age of 82. Kenneth was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, partner, and cherished friend.
Kenneth was a man known for his kindness and dedication to family. He had a penchant for storytelling and was an avid conversationalist with a keen sense of humor. He was one of the last of the real cowboys.
Born on July 30, 1942, in Sacramento, California, Kenneth built a life rooted in hard work, love, and laughter. After military service in Alaska, Kenneth had a long and successful career in construction, dedicating many years to the building of Alaska, before retiring from the Alaska Laborers Union Local 342. After retirement, he found joy in fishing, a passion that brought him peace and fulfillment. Whether at work or on the water, Kenneth's strong work ethic and appreciation for life's simple pleasures left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Kenneth leaves behind his loving partner, Brandii Varness, and his children, Doug (Jen) Setters, Tana Jack, Judy (Dan) Moose, and Richard Setters. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Julia Jack, Dakota Jack, Andreanna Pruitt, Ryan (JulieAnn) Pruitt, Logan Jack, Trevor Moose, and Caleb Setters, as well as his great-grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy of love and laughter.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 10:00am, at Brookside Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ken's life will be follow at 12:00pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Tahoma Cemetery at 1:00pm, with a potluck gathering to follow.
Ken's presence in the lives of those who loved him will never be forgotten. His kindness, humor, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
