Kenneth Cecil Shill

Kenneth Cecil Shill passed away on 16 March 2024 surrounded by family at his residence in downtown Sacramento. The oldest of five children, Kenneth was born on 16 April 1942 at the St. Helena Sanitorium in St. Helena, California, to Kenneth Orvil Shill and Myrtle Orena Westerby.

Kenneth was a graduate of James Marshall High School in West Sacramento. He married Judith Darlene Reedy on 23 November 1963 and was later sealed for all time and eternity in August 1976 in the Oakland Temple.

Ken and Judy were blessed with five children and raised their family in Broderick/West Sacramento. Ken worked for over 47 years as a sales manager with Ram Auto Parts. They loved attending family activities from Napa to Idaho and everywhere in between. Ken loved the Kiwanis Club and served for over 50 years.

Ken was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as a bishopric councilor, Bishop, Stake High Councilor, and other callings.

Ken is survived by Judith, his wife of 60 years; his children: Kenneth Lee Shill (Honey Ann), G. Bryan Shill (Stephanie), Tim Shill (Mimi), Tami Parker (Walt), and Oren Shill; eighteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Richard Shill (Linda) and sisters Shirley Breshears and JoAnn Korteum. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margaret Shill, and bother-in-law Leon Breshears.

Services will take place on Friday, 29 March 2024 at the West Sacramento Ward, 2667 Linden Road, West Sacramento, CA 95691. A brief viewing will occur at 9:30 AM with the service following at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Rd 22, Woodland, CA 95695. In accordance to Ken's wishes, the family requests no cut flowers.
