I had the privilege of knowing Ken Shouldis for over 40 years. Over that time, I knew him as a co-worker, subordinate and finally, and most gratifyingly, as a friend. One of the highlights of my life was receiving a plaque from him for a second-place finish in my age group during one of his son Greg´s Memorial 5k runs. He was the glue that brought me and the 5 other people in our "Data Automation gang" together for quarterly dinners. I have more respect and admiration for Ken and Joan than for anyone else I have ever known. To have endured the tragic losses that they experienced is truly amazing. I know I can speak for many when I say, with Ken´s passing, there is an empty place in me that can never be filled. My thoughts and prayers are with Joan, Adam, and the rest of Ken´s family.
