It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth "Kenny" Stephens on Friday, February 14, 2025. Born on January 25, 1946, Kenneth lived a full and meaningful life, marked by his unique sense of humor, his passion for cooking and dining out, and his love for photography.

Those who had the privilege to get to know him found a man who loved to help others, especially veterans and those recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. He made a fruitful career out of this passion as a licensed counselor, his compassionate spirit shining through every interaction he had. He held two master's degrees, a testament to his tenacity and conviction in his chosen field.

What set Kenneth apart was his extraordinary kindness and generosity. His willingness to lend an ear or extend a helping hand to those in need was a poignant expression of his benevolent spirit. He touched countless lives, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

More than anything, Kenneth's world revolved around his family. He took immense pride in providing for his son, Cory, and granddaughter, Lillybeth, his love for them was a beacon that guided his every decision. His family values, his commitment, and his love will remain etched in their hearts and memories.

As we mourn Kenneth's loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived, marked by countless acts of kindness, a fierce love for family, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will be remembered and cherished.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jackson Stephens; mother, Abbie Ryder Stephens; brothers, Thomas (Tommy) Stephens, and Ronald (Ronnie) R. Stephens. He is survived by his son, Cory Stephens, granddaughter, Lillybeth Stephens; stepdaughter, Tammy Field Haley and husband, Brian; stepson, Tracy Field, and wife, Teresa; siblings, Nancy Stephens Zaccoria, Merry Stephens Smith of Bossier City, LA, and James (Jimmy) O.
