Kenneth Taylor, fondly known as "Ken" left this world peacefully on August 7, 2025, surrounded by his family in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 81. A cherished father, loving papa, devoted friend, and compassionate soul, Ken's presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Born on March 1, 1944, Ken was the beloved son of Orville and Mildred Taylor. He grew up in Ponca City and graduated high-school in Nash Oklahoma in 1961. At age 19, with draft papers in hand, Ken joined the United States Navy. While stationed in Connecticut, Ken met and married his spouse Evelyn on April 2, 1977. They were blessed with five children.

They moved from Connecticut to Virginia Beach, VA and then in 1988 they moved to Oklahoma. They settled in Wynona, OK in 1989 where they remained. Ken retired from the navy as a chief officer, with full honors, after 28 years of service, in 1991 and went to work at Connors Correctional Center. He retired from Connors after over 20 years of service and worked at the college associated with the prison until his mid seventies. Ken had a very strong worth ethic, which he instilled in each of his five children.

Preceding him in death is his spouse of forty-four years Evelyn J Taylor, parents Orville and Mildred Taylor, sister Cleda Oertle, brother Max Taylor, brother-in-laws Jake Hargraves and Kenneth Horton, granddaughter Carrie Taylor.

He is survived by his five children Gabriel Taylor, Annette Taylor, Danielle Rogers and husband Tim, Alyson Partin and husband Nick, Kenny Taylor and wife Rebecca. His sisters Helen Horton, Mary Hargraves and Judy Mason. Nine grandchildren Wesley, Kendra, Austin, Alex, Ethan, Kayla, Malachi, Joshua and Katie. Two great grandchildren Remington and Ryett and many other family members.

A funeral service for Kenneth will be held at Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home in Pawhuska, OK on Friday August 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service immediately following.
