Kenneth Todd Tenney was born on February 4, 1953, to Albert and Alice (Lenz) Tenney in Fairmont, MN. He attended Granada School District and graduated from Granada Huntley High School in 1971.
Ken was united in marriage to Kathy Anderson on December 5, 1981, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Kyle and Eric. They made their home on the family farm on Imogene Lake where Ken farmed for many years and helped custom farm for others. His favorite job on the farm was to combine. In 2003, Ken began working with Bob Leet and they worked together on their farms until Bob's retirement in 2015.
Ken was a longtime board member of Fairmont Farmers Mutual from March of 1985 to March of 2017. He helped Kathy for many years with tasks as she was on the GHEC School PTO. Ken had a love for the outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting pheasants and ducks. Ken enjoyed drinking coffee and shaking dice for who pays, along with playing cribbage and Buck Euchre with his friends. Most importantly, Ken loved spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Kathy Tenney of Fairmont; sons, Kyle (Amanda) Tenney of rural Granada and Eric (Anna) Tenney of rural Fairmont; grandchildren, Alice and Ryan Tenney and Adam Tenney; brother, Robert Tenney of East Chain; sister, Marilyn Blanchard of Elk River; mother-in-law, Una Anderson of Fairmont; special nieces, Lisa (Todd) Peterson of New Hope and Paula Clary of Sioux Falls along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
