Kenneth G Turner, also known as Jake Turner, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 10th, 2023, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Jake was born September 15, 1949, in Manhattan NY to Gerard H Turner and Eleanor Turner. He spent his formative years in Wyckoff NJ, graduating from Ramapo High School in 1969.
He is survived by his former wife, Ellen Hayes Turner, his sons, Jeffrey Turner, his wife Lauren, Brian Turner, his wife Kate, Kevin Turner, his wife Christina, and daughter Kelly Turner Crispano and her husband Brian, all of Midland Park, NJ. He is also survived by grandchildren Brayden and Lilliana Turner, Brooke Crispano, and Ryland Turner, as well as his beloved dog Murray.
Jake was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather and enjoyed coaching all his children's various sports endeavors, baseball, softball, football, basketball, and hockey. He devotedly attended his grandchildren's softball and baseball games. He was a huge fan of the Devils, Islanders, Giants, and Yankees, and enjoyed talking sports with his sons Jeff and Kevin. He enjoyed weightlifting, a passion he passed down to his daughter Kelly and was an avid member of many gyms in the area over the years. He was also a music lover who enjoyed playing guitar with his son Brian and listening to records. He had a love of animals which he passed to all his children.
May he rest in peace, knowing his family will carry on his memory.
