DEERFIELD-Kenneth Lee Weasel II, age 66, of Deerfield, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his home. He was born January 25, 1958, in Tecumseh, the son of Kenneth and Beverly (Smoke) Weasel. Ken, a lifelong Deerfield resident, was raised Catholic in St. Alphonsus Parish, and was a 1977 graduate of Deerfield High School.
Ken married the love of his life, the former Sheri Sue Keck, on January 27, 1979, in Blissfield. Together they raised two children and enjoyed over 45 years of making memories as husband and wife. Employed as a heavy equipment operator, Ken worked for several years for Wilson's Backhoe service in Britton before working for Slusarski Excavating for the past 13 years. He reluctantly retired on March 6, 2024.
Ken was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Deerfield. He was meticulous about taking care of his yard, and he enjoyed gardening. He was proud of his family cabin in Falmouth, MI, and greatly anticipated visits there, where he would spend hours trail riding, deer hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family. Ken was an avid fan of the University of Michigan football and Detroit Tigers baseball.
Ken was a genuine person with a heart of gold who was always giving of himself to others. A social butterfly, he never knew a stranger, and he enjoyed making others laugh. He will be sorely missed.
Surviving is his wife, Sheri; his daughter, Nicole Weasel (Ben Gilson) of Deerfield; son, Ryan (Tina) Weasel of Temperance, MI; brothers, Scott (Paula) Weasel of Blissfield, Bobby Weasel of Deerfield, Lee (Kendra) Weasel of Deerfield, Randy (Barb) Weasel of Deerfield, and Dan (Pam) Weasel of Hudson; his sister, Sara (John) Montalvo of Adrian; and his three precious grandchildren, Owen, Alanna, and Cullen.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place, and inurnment will take place at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in Ken's honor may be given to the American Cancer Society. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield.
