Benson, NC: Mr. Kenneth Ray Weeks, age 79 of Benson Hardee Road passed away on August 8, 2024 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM- Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Beasley. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mr. Weeks was born on November 13, 1944 in Harnett County to the late George “Tiny” Welton and Vera Lee Cobb Weeks. He was the owner and operator of Kenneth Weeks Trucking and Grading Company for 60 years. Mr. Weeks enjoyed riding motorcycles and performing with the North Carolina Precision Drill Team. He loved spending time with his family and just tinkering around the shop on different projects. Mr. Weeks was known in the family as a prankster and lived life to the fullest.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Lynda Mae Weeks; children, Charylene Lynette Weeks and husband, Jack D. Faircloth, Jr. of Benson, Michael Dale Weeks and wife, Christine Nitt of Boydton, VA; grandchildren, Cythnia Dupree, Stephanie Dupree, Josie Weeks, Zoey Weeks; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda W. Taylor of Dunn, Jo Ann W. Tart and husband, Dwight of Benson, Sue Lynn W. Blackman and husband, Corbett of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:45PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson prior to the service and other times at the home.
