Kenneth R. Wright, age 84 of Burtonsville, Maryland passed from this life on September 15, 2024. He was born March 10, 1940 to Russell and Bonnie Wright in Olney, Maryland. In May 1959, Kenneth wed Sandra SeVille Seibel, a fellow Burtonsville native. They celebrated 65 years of marriage this past spring. They were blessed with two children, John and Doreen. As a young man, Kenneth worked diligently at many jobs, and served in the United States Coast Guard Reserves. After working in the DC area for over 30 years, he retired from IATSE Local 22 in Washington D.C. During his years of retirement, Kenneth enjoyed spending time on the eastern shore of Maryland, in Ocean Pines, Maryland. He will be remembered fondly for his love of bluegrass music, antique cars and above all his family. His family was his pride and joy and he was a devoted and loving Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Sandra S. Wright (nee Seibel), daughter Doreen Doherty (John), daughter in-law, Laura, grandchildren, Brianna Hargis (Joshua), Connor Doherty, Liam Doherty and Blake Wright, as well as great-grandchildren James Waylon, Judson and Jasper Hargis. He is preceded in death by his son, John Russell Wright and his dear brother, Warren James Wright. Graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, 3001 Spencerville Road Burtonsville, MD 20866 on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Parkinson's Foundation would be deeply appreciated.
