Kennith Wayne Potts, age 85, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, in Jacksboro, Texas. Kennith was born on September 24, 1940, in Olney, Texas, to Buddie and Lona Potts. He married the love of his life, Mary Dell Carter, on March 23, 1970, in Dallas, Texas, and they spent 55 incredible years together before her passing earlier this year. Kennith did many things in his 85 years and retired as an Account Executive at Lucent Technologies. His talents and hobbies were too many to list, but included music, painting, collecting antique firearms, building his own homes, ranching, rebuilding antique cars, studying history, and most importantly - having a true thirst for the love, knowledge, and wisdom of his Savior, Jesus. He was a true Renaissance man.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. Burial will follow at Antelope Cemetery for a few family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Mark, Sherry, Michael, and Kendra; many grandchildren, including Joshua, Brayden, and Eaden; numerous great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his and Mary's name to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
