Kenny Moncus

Mr. Kenny E. Moncus, age 64, of Calhoun, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born August 23, 1959, in Vidalia, to the late Eugene Carlton Moncus and Lola Mae O'Quinn Moncus. He was a 1977 graduate of Robert Toombs Christian Academy in Lyons. He grew up in Toombs County, lived in Sandersville for a few years before moving to Calhoun in 1999. He was a land surveyor and worked with Georgia Power for many years. He was Baptist by faith. Kenny enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and was an avid football fan.
His family includes his wife, Sharon Poole Moncus of Calhoun; two sons, Brian Kenneth Moncus and wife Lacy, and Bradley Kendall Moncus and wife Katie, all of Sandersville; two stepdaughters, Ashley Booth and Miranda Escobar and husband Carlos, all of Calhoun; one sister, Jenny Moncus of Vidalia; two brothers, David Moncus and wife Beverly of Mt. Vernon, and Danny Moncus and wife Teresa of Vidalia; ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning September 26th, from 10:00 until 11:30 with a graveside service to follow at 12:00 noon at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with his brother, David Moncus and son, Brian Moncus officiating.
