Kent R. Dorenkamp, 67, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Kent was born in Louisville to the late Henry and Mary Virginia Dorenkamp and was a member of the graduating class of 1977 at St. Xavier High School.

Kent was the owner of Current Connections, before retiring after 35 years in the business. He was well known for always being ready to tell a dad joke, bad joke, or the occasional good joke. He will be remembered as bringing laughter in a room. Kent will be missed as a loving husband, dad, Papaw, and brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Chip Dorenkamp.

Carrying on Kent's legacy are his wife of 40 years, Donna Jo Dorenkamp; sons, Josh Dorenkamp (Kristy King) and Brandon Dorenkamp (Kim); grandchildren, Otto and Nori; and sisters, Jill Engle (Ivan) and Dayle Benton (Jim).

Visitation for Kent will be from 2-8PM on Thursday, September 18 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3800 Bardstown Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
