In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Keri Leon Sharpe was given his wings to fly from this earthly life to his heavenly home. He was born August 25, 1988 to Shirley S. Mosby and the late Paul Simon, Jr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James H. Sharpe and Bernice S. Blake; paternal grandparents, Paul Sr. and Connie Simon.
Keri was a graduate of Heritage High School, class of 2006. He also attended CVCC and studied HVAC. Keri loved life and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family and had a special bond with his mother, whom he loved unconditionally. Keri was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memories are his stepfather, William Mosby, who loved and supported him from a very early age; one brother, Scottie L. Sharpe; one sister, Shannon L. Thompson, both of Lynchburg, VA; one stepsister, Michelle Lazenby of Woodbridge, VA; two stepbrothers, Jermaine Brogdon of Bedford, VA; Anthony (Ellen) Mosby of Shreveport, Louisiana; three special nieces, Kayla Thompson, Ayonna and Sanaa Sharpe, all of Lynchburg, VA; four aunts, Helen S. Williams of Chesapeake, VA, Madge S. Williams, Peggy S. Thompson, Cindy S. Brogdon, all of Bedford, VA; three uncles, John Simon of Lynchburg, VA; Lewis and Steve Sharpe, both of Bedford, VA; two great-aunts, Myrtle Leftwich and Rosa (Robert) Carson, both of Bedford, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Special devoted friends, Lorenzo (Rennie) Callands and Dasha Dagner.
You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you're always at our side.
