William Fitzgerald Holland

William Fitzgerald Holland completed his earthly journey and entered into eternal rest with the Lord on August 4, 2025, peacefully and in God's timing. Born on March 7, 1965, William was the beloved son of the late Betty Holland and William Holland, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Raymond Kasey.

William was a graduate of Staunton River High School in Moneta who went on to have a rewarding career in the food processing industry. He spent many years at Golden West Foods in Bedford before relocating to Brunswick, Georgia, where he worked for 15 years at SeaPac Shrimp & Seafood. There, he embraced new opportunities and formed meaningful friendships, most notably with the Edmond family, who lovingly became his second family while living and working in Brunswick. In time, William returned to his hometown of Bedford, Virginia, where he and his sister Pam created countless joyful moments and treasured memories together. He also reconnected with many friends and family members.

William's hobbies included fishing, listening to jazz, Southern Soul, and R&B classics. He loved watching his favorite college team, North Carolina State University and his NFL team - the Dallas Cowboys! He also worked independently and for multiple car washes over the years. You would never catch William driving a dirty car.

William loved with his whole heart and loved his family and friends deeply. Those left to cherish fond memories are his beloved children, Danielle Holland (Ronda) of Tampa, FL, Blair Holland of Atlanta, GA, Christopher Holland of Darrin, GA; and Brandy Jones of Glen Allen, VA; loving brother, Anthony Craighead (Donna) of Elkins Park, PA and his beloved and devoted sister and caregiver, Pamela Craighead of Bedford, VA, two loving aunts, Gaynell Akerson and Shirley Akers; nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly, special cousins, Bobby Flood, Robert, Jessica and R.J. Forrest; other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his "brothers from other mothers" Albert "Kane" and Terry Ragsdale, Wayne Poindexter, David "DB" Brown, and James "Jimbo" Rixey.
