Kermit Errol Campbell, 84, of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, doing what he loved—fishing. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with military honors to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Gary Glazier is officiating the services.
Kermit was born on November 27, 1940, in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Ephraim K. Campbell and Charlotte Thornton Campbell. He graduated from Kosciusko High School and spent 4 years in The United States Air Force. In 1959, Ephriam Campbell and his sons built Campbell Motel in Kosciusko, and the family built the Parkway Inn in 1970. Like his dad, Kermit became a tree farmer, dedicating over 60 years to this career. He had a genuine love for nature and the outdoors. Kermit married his sweetheart, Carolyn Howard Campbell, and they were blessed with 57 years of marriage and three beautiful children. He was a member of Redbud Springs Cornerstone Methodist Church.
Kermit is survived by his wife, Carolyn Howard Campbell of Kosciusko, Mississippi; sons, Scott (Lisa) Campbell of Brandon, Mississippi, and Joel (Tara) Campbell of Calahan, Florida; daughter, Stephanie (Patrick) Jue of Brenham, Texas; granddaughters, Ally Russell, Erin Jue, and Hannah Campbell; grandsons, Braden Campbell and Conner Campbell; and his brother, Bobby Campbell of Montrose, Colorado.
Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, Ephraim K. Campbell and Charlotte Thornton Campbell.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Allen Knight, Rodney Putt, Bill Cullen, Jason Blaylock, Doug King, Bobby Crowe, Jeff McDole, and Jackie Sprayberry. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Jones, Edwin Albin, and Brendan Hill.
