Kermit Sullivan Wrench, Jr., a lifelong resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on February 3, 1966, in Wilmington, he was the beloved son of Margaret Eason and the late Kermit Wrench, Sr.
A graduate of Wilmington Christian Academy, Kermit dedicated his professional life to working as an electrician and in landscaping. His commitment to his craft was admired by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Kermit's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid collector of memorabilia, particularly coins and baseball cards, and a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Orioles, and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. He held a special admiration for Michael Jordan, whose career he followed with great enthusiasm.
Kermit is preceded in death by his father, Kermit Wrench, Sr.; his brother, Keith Wrench; his son, Josh Wrench; and his brother-in-law, Calvin Barnes. He is survived by his loving mother, Margaret Eason; his children, Amber, Garrett, and Trent; his siblings, Kurt Wrench (Nicole), Darlene Wrench, and Demetrius Barnes; his niece, Penny Philligan; and his nephews, Calvin Barnes II, Kurt N.Wrench, and Cameron Wrench.
Though no formal services are scheduled at this time, the family invites those who knew Kermit to honor his memory in a way that feels meaningful to them. Memorial donations can be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC, in memory of Kermit Sullivan Wrench, Jr.
