Kerri Joy Losee Kopinsky Webb, 65, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 8, 1960, to Rex and Diane Losee in Lehi, Utah, Kerri was a beautiful soul, known from childhood for her striking big eyes, long eyelashes and remarkable beauty. Kerri touched many lives leaving a legacy of care, compassion and empathy that will be forever cherished.
Kerri graduated from Lehi High School, where her charisma and congenial spirit shone as a cheerleader. It was there she met her first husband, Gary Kopinsky. The couple married on Feb15, 1979, and welcomed two children, Necia and Josh. Kerri pursued her passion for helping others by attending nursing school at Weber State University while pregnant with Josh. She worked as a Registered Nurse at American Fork Hospital in the labor and delivery and mother-baby units, where her empathy and compassion earned her the admiration of colleagues and patients alike. She was often remembered by her patients for warm acts of kindness that transcended standards of care.
Tragedy struck when Gary was killed in a car accident in 1990, leaving Kerri to raise Josh and Necia as a young, widowed single mother. Despite immense challenges, her unwavering love and strength always persevered. Kerri's kindness and compassion touched everyone she met, defining her as a truly remarkable and compassionate woman. She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially with her "partner in crime", her mother Diane. Kerri and Diane had the ability to connect deeply with strangers and made lasting impressions. Even years later, it was common to be approached by familiar faces from their travels, eager to reminisce about the moments they had shared.
Later in life, Kerri worked as a group home manager for individuals with autism, treating the girls in her care as if they were her own. In 2018, a beautiful friendship blossomed with Kyle Webb, which grew into love. Kerri and Kyle married on October 31, 2021, and they shared a joyful life filled with love. They cherished their time together, which was highlighted by camping trips, weekend getaways, but especially by spending time with their children and grandchildren. She was an exceptional mother and grandmother and cherished her family above all else. Her face lit up with joy at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, performances, and every moment celebrating their accomplishments.
Kerri's legacy is one of love, resilience, and compassion. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary, Dad Rex, and brother Kelly. She is survived by her mother Diane, husband, Kyle Webb; her children, Necia, Josh (Ashley), Shelbie (Kevin), Colby (Becca); grandchildren, Sage, JD, Remi, Jude, and Grayson; siblings Greg (Becky), Curt (Callie), Todd (Elaine), and Michelle (Greg). She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and many others who held her in high regard. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
A funeral service for family and close friends will be held on Friday June 20, 2025 at Wing Mortuary 118 East Main Lehi, Utah at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held on the same day from 9-10:30 am. Interment Lehi City Cemetery. Online guest book at wingmortuary.com
