A visitation for Kerry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden, Iowa, with his memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Max Phillips will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements.
Kerry Allen Randolph was born on August 13, 1981, at the Boone County Hospital to parents Ronald A. and Diane Elizabeth (Drennen) Randolph, and welcomed home by his older sister, Karmen. Kerry grew up in Ogden, and as a member of the class of 2000, attended Ogden Community Schools where he participated in some sports, and finishing his education at DMACC in Boone. Kerry was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in 1985.
Kerry’s ultimate passion was to be an over-the-road truck driver, quite possibly influenced by his truck-driving cousin, Todd. He was impressed by the truck driver training program available at DMACC-Ankeny, and gained the knowledge needed to graduate and spend many years with different Carriers, putting thousands of miles behind him out on the open road.
At home, Kerry liked to tinker and repair things, and also update his garage to make it more winter comfortable for projects. He spent some years experimenting with growing vegetables in his basement so they could eat healthy. He also spent a few years experimenting with pyrotechnics and developing a system to put on fireworks displays for family and friends, which were enjoyed by all who were there.
Kerry and his longtime companion, Jamie Dawkins had two children, Kolleen and Mia Randolph, who Kerry very much enjoyed doing things with. They enjoyed spending time camping, which usually included NaNa Diane, who also enjoyed those times with the kids as well.
Kerry was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his father, Ron (Vicky) Randolph of Ogden, IA; his mother, Diane Drennen of Boone, IA; his two daughters, Kolleen and Mia Randolph of Boone, IA; his sister, Karmen (Chad) Gano of Johnston, IA; his brother, Keith Randolph of Ogden, IA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
