Kevin F. Alwell, age 70, passed away on November 18, 2025, at home, surrounded by family.

He was born on June 22, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York, to James and Eleanor Dieterich Alwell, both deceased.

Kevin was committed to his family and career, spending 37 years at Con Ed where he built lasting relationships. He also served in the Coldenham Fire Department as both a firefighter and fire police officer for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, James Alwell and James B. Alwell, his sister, Joanne Alwell and his father-in-law, Walter H. Schneider.

He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Debra Schneider Alwell; three daughters-Beth Anne (Louis) Grillo, Wallkill, NY, Kimberly Jane Alwell, Wallkill, NY, and Heather (Eric) Allen, Voorheesville, NY; his son John (Leanne) Minckler, Poughkeepsie, NY and his foster daughter Paula (David) Edwards, West Hurly, NY; his grandchildren-Isabel, Adalynn, Henry, Ethan, Evelyn, Renae, and Jorden and his sisters Eileen (Tom) Parr, Pine Bush, NY and Mary (Barry) Greynolds, Livingston Manor, NY along with many nieces, nephews, and family.

At the family's request there will be visitation on Friday, November 21st, 2025, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank Street in Walden, New York.
A service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2520 Route 208, Walden, New York.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kevin's memory to the Coldenham Fire Co. or Hudson Valley Hospice, 80 Washington Street, Suite 204, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
