Kevin L. "Moose" Anglemyer, age 44, of Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Kevin was born December 19, 1979 in Stoughton, WI to Calvin and Rose (Haskins) Anglemyer. He married Sheila Kangas on August 22, 2014 at the Wood County Courthouse in Wisconsin Rapids. They recently celebrated their 10 yr. wedding anniversary.
Kevin was employed as a forklift driver at Biery Cheese for 12 years. He was also the owner of Moose's DJ and Karaoke for the past 11 years, a job he truly loved.
Kevin lived life to the fullest. He had a passion for darts and was a regular at the Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday dart leagues. He loved shooting pool on Wednesday nights during the fall and winter leagues. And when the warm weather rolled around, he was always ready for a game of cornhole or horseshoes. He treasured the friendships formed around a dart board, pool table, or a game of horseshoes.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife Sheila, children: Tyra Akkerman and Sarah (Ronnie Smith) Morgan both of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Khiahna Smith, Khamiyah Smith and Khartier Smith all of Wisconsin Rapids; brother: George (Kenny Haines) Haskins of Wisconsin Rapids; best friend Dave (Doreen Bradley) Leonhard of Eau Claire, WI; uncle Harold Haskins of Nekoosa; aunts: Linda Anderson, of Madison, and Barb Jacoby of Oregan, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members. He is further survived by his dogs: Riley, Minnie, Willow and Moose and cat Autumn.
He is preceded in death by his parents; aunts: Carol Darr, Mary Berg, and Marie Lewis; cousins: Billy Haskins, Scott Metz and Jason Metz; best friends Jim Goodness and Charlie Linklater.
The family would like to thank the Nekoosa Police, first responders, and ambulance crew, and all the doctors and nurses at Aspirus Riverview Hospital for their care and compassion.
