Richard Charles Herrmann was born on February 3, 1957, in Milwaukee, WI, and was called to his eternal home on August 23, 2025, while residing in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Richard was a man of unwavering faith, a devoted family man, and a beacon of creativity and knowledge. He was a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1975 and later went on to acquire a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing from the University of Wisconsin. His love for words extended beyond the academic realm, as he brought joy and laughter to family and friends in sharing his passion for poetry, reading, and singing.

Richard spent much of his professional life as a Production Manager in Industrial manufacturing, where he applied his creative mind and meticulous nature. After retirement, he found joy in woodturning, a hobby that showcased his creativity and precision. His pieces, like him, were unique and held a story within their grains. He loved to share his passion with other woodturners in the area, further enriching the local community. Richard's love for the outdoors was evident in his cherished long hikes and walks in the woods, where he found solitude and peace.

Richard was a devoted servant of the Lord, often attending bible studies and singing in his beloved St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. His faith was a testament to his character; he loved his Savior, Lord Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Christine (Myszka) Herrmann, his grandchildren, Logan, Micah, Eli and Eleanor; his brothers, Phillip (Lynn) Herrmann, Bill (Judy) Herrmann and Steve (Mary Beth) Herrmann; his in-laws and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He now joins in heavenly peace his daughter, Melanie Myszka his parents, Edward and Ella Herrmann, and his sister Christine Herrmann,

We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital ICU and his church family of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church for their unwavering support and care.

As we celebrate Richard's life, let us remember the verse from the book of Isaiah 40:31

but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles.

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with a memorial service following at 12:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, WELS Lutherans for Life www.alife2.com or to www.preventsuicidewi.org/make-a-donation.

We encourage all who knew and loved Richard to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page, creating a lasting tribute to a man whose life was a testament to love, faith, and creativity.

Rich was a dear friend that I had the honor of knowing in the early days of college at DMLC. He was always kind and loving, always truthful with his words and never spoke ill of anyone. I will never forget his generosity and gentle spirit. See ya soon brother. Jim
