Kevin Ray Boese was born on December 3, 1959, in Kingman, Kansas. He grew up in Haven, Kansas, where he lived until his sudden passing on January 4, 2025.
He was a proud graduate of Haven High School with the class of 1978 and went on to dedicate 43 consistent years to Collins Industries, now known as Collins Bus, where he was respected for his steadfast work ethic and commitment to the company.
Kevin's life revolved around his family, which brought him the greatest happiness. His steadfast support for his children and their endeavors defined him as a father. Whether cheering courtside or sharing moments at home, he was always there for his family and friends.
Kevin's enthusiasm for sports, particularly basketball, led to cherished lifelong friendships within the basketball community he loved so much.
He is survived by his three children: Lindsay Boese of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Tayler Boese of Lawrence, Kansas; and Tanner Boese of Haven, Kansas, as well as their mother, Donetta Boese of Haven, Kansas. He is also survived by his parents, Ron and Carol Boese of Haven, Kansas; his sister, Brenda Elliott of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and her daughter, Madison Elliott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Kevin's family will forever remember his kindness, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to them all. He will be so very deeply missed.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at Ott Funeral Home in Haven, Kansas, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, January 13, 2025.
