Kevin Joseph Brady,, born October 26, 1955, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 20, 2025 after a two-year battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Lori, son Ryan, daughter Bridget, son in law Samuel, granddaughters Nora and Margot, sisters Rita (Samuel), Mary (Richard), Catherine (Dennis), Terry (Frederick), Claire, brothers Richard (Mary Patricia), Robert (Monica), Mark (Teresa), 26 nieces and nephews, and 60 great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine Brady, his brother-in-law Samuel Bogley, and his nephew Vincent Bogley.

After graduating Archbishop Carroll high school, Kevin attended University of Maryland College Park where he pursued a degree in business. There he joined the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity where he formed lifelong friendships.

Kevin began his career working at his father's business, The Brady Company, a publishing firm bridgelocated in Bowie, MD. From there he worked for the Fire Administration before joining Motorola. During his two-decade long career with Motorola Public Sector and Defense Programs, Kevin and his team worked directly with the five military branches to ensure communication equipment needs were met. He retired in the summer of 2011.

In his retirement, Kevin rediscovered his love for performing arts, connecting with former classmates and cast mates from his high school theater productions. This reconnection led to the formation of their theater group Broadway on Harewood Rd. Over the last two decades, the group has put on over twenty variety and cabaret style performances including Kevin's family and current students from his alma mater and its sister school Elizabeth Seton. He enjoyed these wonderful friendships and the beautiful music and memories they created, leaving a tremendous legacy for us all.

Kevin loved the leaves changing in the fall and always claimed they did so just in time to celebrate his birthday. He cleaned the house blasting his favorite music and left meticulous vacuum lines on the carpets that could not be matched. He had a love for traditions that shined bright during the holiday season where he decked the halls and earned him the nickname Captain Christmas. He loved hosting family and friends for all types of celebrations and just because. He was a voracious reader, rarely finding a reason to skip a stop in at the bookstore. He came with coffee wherever he went, no matter the time of day. He made up recipes in his head that became family staples. He enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets on his porch with his labs.

Kevin cheered the loudest for his loved ones, never letting a moment go by without making sure they felt proud of themselves. He was blindly generous, offering whatever he could to improve someone's day or situation. He was a storyteller, whose personal motto was "Always keep them laughing."

In lieu of flowers please donate to the performing arts departments at Archbishop Carroll High School or Elizabeth Seton High School.

I extend my sincere condolences to your family. Kevin was my pledge brother at AGR 52 years ago. He has always been one of the most sincere, optimistic, upbeat, and bare knuckled honest men I´ve known. It´s my privilege to smile with the memories, give a figurative clap on the back and say "well done Brother."
