Sue was born and raised in Detroit (Rosedale Park) Michigan. She was a graduate of Redford High School and a graduate of Michigan State University. She majored in Elementary Education. She moved to Maryland, married and raised three children in Lanham. She attended graduate school at the University of Maryland and received her certification in English. She taught English at Fairmont Height’s Senior High School until she retired. After retiring from teaching, she was a case manager for Vocational Services for Prince George’s County Board of Education. She successfully helped high school graduates get into college, training programs and obtain jobs.
Sue was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in College Park, Md. For many years. She belonged to two bridge groups in Greenbelt, Md. Her interests, besides bridge, included exercising, gardening, sailing, and traveling in the states and foreign countries.
Sue is survived by her wonderful children; Joseph A. Baden, David L. Baden, Susannah P. Baden; and by her awesome Grand-Children: Matthew Baden (Elaina), Casey Baden (Nick), Victoria and Clark Tilson , and Great Grand-Kids: Parker L. and Jacen B. Baden.
In addition to her parents, she is, also, preceded in death by her sister Anne Hungerford Johnson, and her daughter-in-law, Susan F. Baden.
A church service will be held on December 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church-Wayside, Newburg Md. The burial will immediately follow the service.
