Kevin G. Brummitt

Kevin G. Brummitt, 75, of East Peoria, peacefully passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Lacon Rehab and Nursing. He was born in Peoria on August 19, 1950, to Milton and Francee (Wingstirn) Brummitt. On December 29, 1999, he married Jane Bach in Monroe County, FL; she survives.
Also surviving are his two sons, Kevin (Mary) Brummitt of East Peoria and Dan (Michele) Brummitt of Peoria; his stepson, Jason (Courtney) Bach-Randolph of Port Charlotte, FL; 7 grandchildren, Brice and Kristen Brummitt, Austin Thomason, Lauryn and Sydney Brummitt, and Charlie and Palmer Bach; his sister, Sylivia (Rod) Roehnelt; brother, Milt (Lois) Brummitt; and his sister-in-law, Barb Brummitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Brummitt.
Kevin graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 1968. He was a member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local #17 for 55 years.
Kevin was a dedicated Cubs fan who watched their games as often as possible. He was also a long-time member of the American Poolplayers Association. He loved his cats, and in his free time, enjoyed feeding wildlife--especially the birds.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
