Nickolas D. Kneip

Nickolas D. Kneip, 47, of Bartonville, formerly of Sunnyland, a guy who loved Ashley, his kids, photography, and Halloween, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 24, 1978, in Princeton, the son of Daniel ad Loretta (Jenkins) Kneip. He married Ashley Harris in Bartonville on October 13, 2018; she survives.
Also surviving are his three children, Dominick and Brock Kneip of Arizona and Kaylee Weaver of Bartonville; his parents, Daniel and Loretta Kneip of Arizona; 2 sisters, Sara (Steve) Sloan of Florida and Amanda (Caleb) Scrimsher of Princeton; his brother, Brian Poff of West Virginia; and his two dogs, Grey and Foxy.
Nick graduated from Welding School, then dedicated 15 years to Tazewell Machine Works in Pekin. He was currently working in trim assembly at Rivian. In 2017, he established Nick Kneip Photography, which reflected his true professional passion.
He loved everything about Halloween and took great pride in working as an actor at Aura, Blood Moon Manor, and Spook Hollow.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria. A time of reflection will begin at 7:00 p.m.
