Kevin Caraher Obituary
He was born on August 17th, 1956 to Patrick and Elaine Caraher. Raised in Glenview, he was the second oldest of 8 children: Michael (Jamie), Timothy (Alla), Daniel, Nancy Andersen (Brad), David (Karen), Susan, Karen Quirk (Tom). Uncle to Jason, Ryan, Brian, Sean, Colin, Brady, Megan, Brendan, Connor, Patrick, Daniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick & Elaine Caraher, his in-laws, Charles & Shirley Keller, and his nephew, Kyle Caraher.
He attended High School at Loyola Academy and earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1978 from Lawrence University. He obtained his Law Degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1981 where he served as a research assistant to the Dean of the Law school. From 1981 to 1984, Kevin served as judicial clerk to Justice Daniel Ward of the Illinois Supreme Court. He then went on to work at Clausen Miller, Asperger/Caraher, and then spent his remaining career at Cozen O'Connor. He was a licensed and incredibly accomplished attorney in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and in 2020, he was admitted to the Bar in Ontario, Canada.
His hobbies included watching Notre Dame football as well as the Chicago Bears. He was an avid tennis and paddle player for years at Tennaqua Swim & Tennis club. His greatest joy were his 4 kids and 2 grandchildren. Kevin was, above all else and unapologetically, all about his family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 - 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM - Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home - 1787 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL 60035. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 - 10:30 AM - Our Lady of Perpetual Help - 1775 Grove Street, Glenview, IL 60025

Sad to hear of Kevin´s passing. I was a frat brother of his at Lawrence University and football player. Rest in peace Kevin and condolences to his family!
