Kevin Vance Daugherty, beloved son, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend passed away January 28, 2026 at Covenant Healthcare - Saginaw.
"Son of Robert and Rosemary (Premo) Daugherty, I was hatched March 5, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan, and stayed there until 2005 when I moved to St. Charles.
I was a gunners mate striker in the amphibious Navy. Aboard the USS Shreveport LPD-12, I never killed anyone but stray goats on an abandoned airfield in Vegas, Puerto Rico. I got out in August 1975, worked a few jobs and then got hired in to Saginaw Steering Gear in September 1978. I met my future wife at the Zilwaukee Festival. We lived in sin for 12 years, then we wound up getting married at Niagara Falls on September 13, 1991. Yes, it was a Friday. We were a great team until she passed on July 1, 2021. I sure did miss all the time up in the UP staying on Lake Superior at Rock River. We did that for 30 years, same cabin. We also enjoyed golfing until we got to the second hole, then I was giving free swearing classes the rest of the game. The only times I stopped swearing was at the casino, fishing and getting lost for the fun of it, campfires, fine dining at the Brown Stone Inn, and glimpses of the Northern Lights. I also suffered with the Lions, Tigers, and Raiders of old.
Surviving are my son, Matthew (Lupe) Warsin Sr.; my grandkids, Javier Guevara, Elena Neyman, Mariza (Brandon) Murray, Matthew (Courtney Cabot) Warsin Jr., and Nicholas Vance (Lily) Warsin; my great-grandkids, Antonio and Isaiah Zizumbo, Willa and Izzy Cabot, Madison Catherine and Eli Murray, and Malcolm Vance Warsin; Brother Chuck (Cheri) Stack; my sister-in-law, Sue Daugherty; and my good friend, Kathy Sonnenberg.
Beside my parents and my wonderful wife, I was preceded in death by my brother, Dennis Daugherty, Ray and his wife Judy Stack; and my sister Barb and her husband Bill Maygar.
I hope all my friends got with the Lord so we can all meet up someday in Heaven. God bless all who read my obituary. Be Happy. I love you all."
