Kevin "Sonny" Dense

Kevin "Sonny" Alan Dense, age 52, of Idabel, Oklahoma died on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at his home. He was born on Tuesday, January 27, 1970 to Ralph Milton Dense and Shirley Ann Brown Dense in Canandaigua, New York. Sonny married Donna Smith on May 26, 2001 in Morrow, Georgia. They enjoyed their Bible studies together.
Sonny was a loving brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a authentic Christian who loved the Lord and serving people with an extremely kind heart.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Shirley Dense and his wife, Donna Dense.
Sonny is survived by his brother and sister in law, Brian and Lisa Dense of Seneca, South Carolina; one nephew, Justin Dense of Seneca, South Carolina; one niece, Alexandra Dense Poston of Charlotte, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sonny graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts, in Missions and Bible, with a minor in Spanish from the Baptist Bible College, in Springfield, MO. Sonny spent his career Pastoring, preaching, leading worship in song, and serving as a hospice Chaplain. He enjoyed Southern Gospel music, spending time with his church family and with his cats at home.
Visitation hours will be Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral at 10:00 A.M. at the Choctaw Baptist Church of Garvin with Pastor Joe Carrolls officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, Oklahoma with arrangements entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
