Kevin John DeRosier, 64, of Westerly, Rhode Island, passed away on November 15, 2025.
Born in Norwich to Walter J. DeRosier and Rita A. Clang, Kevin was a creative and hardworking individual from an early age. He graduated from Norwich Technical High School as a carpenter and later earned an Associate's degree in Accounting from Mohegan Community College. Kevin began his career as a cabinet maker at A&M Woodworking and concluded his professional journey at Foxwoods Resort Casino, where he worked as a carpenter in the Engineering Department with the Local 30 Engineers Union.
Kevin was married to Theresa Higgins, the love of his life, and though divorced, they maintained a loving and supportive relationship until the end. He was a devoted father to his five children-Matthew, Justin, Andrew, Cheyenne, and Jaice-and a proud grandfather to Olivia. He is also survived by his sister, Laurie J. Wadja. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Rita DeRosier, and his brothers, Randy M. Greene and James L. Greene.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Kevin loved the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Dallas Cowboys, and he especially enjoyed watching the Plainfield Panthers high school baseball games. Creative and hands-on, he built the family home and treasured time outdoors, whether by the pool or at the beach. Kevin's warmth, generosity, and passion for life left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing at Godere-Guillot Funeral Home on November 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Kevin John DeRosier will be remembered fondly for his creativity, love of sports, devotion to family, and his unwavering generosity of spirit.
