DEXTER- Stephanie L. Derosier (Cochran), better known as "Steph", a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away on August 30, 2025, in her home, in Dexter, Maine surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 40 years old.

Born on April 3, 1985, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Stephanie grew up in Corinna Maine, a daughter of Bryan and Donna Cochran and a cherished little sister to Erica Crawford of Newport, and Heidi Cochran of Carmel. From an early age Steph's vibrant personality and infectious smile brightened every room she entered, making friends wherever she went and always putting others before herself.

She was a 2004 graduate of Nokomis Regional High school. Where her school years were filled with laughter, lasting friendships, and a budding passion for community involvement. Stephanie worked at Living Innovations in Dover-Foxcroft as a Behavioral Health Specialist, her compassion and kindness profoundly impacted those she worked with and cared for.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Steph embraced the beauty of Maine through her favorite activities: camping and fishing in the summer, hunting in the fall, and snowmobiling in the winter. Her favorite place to be on a snow-covered mountain in Maine, riding with her friends and family.

Stephanie's greatest joy in her life was her family. She shared a beautiful life with her husband Brandon Derosier of Dexter, and together they raised two amazing daughters Kelsey Taylor and Hannah Derosier. Stephanie's love for her girls knew no bounds and that love was extended to her nieces and nephews as well, spoiling them at any chance she could get.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Brandon, and their daughters, Kelsey and Hannah. She is also survived by her parents, Bryan and Donna Cochran of Corinna; sisters, Erica Crawford, with nephews Cole and Cooper and Heidi Cochron and nieces Lilly and Harley; and a large extended family and friends who will miss her deeply. Steph was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl & Betty Butler, Bryon Cochran, Jim and Beverly Brady, and her aunt, Sam Hyson.

A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, September 6th at 10:00 am at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home in Newport, ME. This will be followed by a graveside service at 12:00pm at the Corinna Center Cemetery, and a celebration of life at the Dexter VFW Hall.

The family would like to thank all of those who contributed to helping Stephanie and her family during her cancer battle. The overwhelming support & prayers made each day a little bit easier, they are forever grateful for your generosity.
