Kevin Doolan Obituary
WATERBURY – It is with heavy hearts, but also with gratitude for a life well-lived, that the family of Kevin Thomas Doolan announce his unexpected passing at his home on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 71.
Funeral services for Kevin will be held on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Kevin's family on Thursday morning from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort, or share a memory of someone important to you with your family and friends. Kevin, my friend, you will always be forever young in my mind's eye. I have many vivid memories of the time we spent at UConn.
Spending a excellent Easter Sunday lunch with you and your family in Wolcott, teasing your grandfather so he'd share his beloved Tullamore Dew.
Listening to great music at the Shaboo Inn. Watching you trying to find the right notes on your blue guitar. Hanging with friends and your late, great pup, Hunter S. Doolan.
Teaching me about fresh water fishing, walking the streams of northeast CT looking for trout, and canoeing at Coventry Lake and Halls Pond.
Remembering your first acting gig as a hip pirate at the Willimantic mall. Visiting you and your stage crew at the Bushnell.
Watching UConn beat St. John's at the NIT in Madison Square Garden and driving back to Storrs in an ice storm, after sampling too many 10 cent Irish whiskeys on that cold March day in New York.
We were young and invincible, ...till we weren't.
Fly on, my friend. I'll meet you in the next world. And don't be late.
