Kevin Charles Easley was born on April 20, 1957, to the late Woodruff and Gertrude Easley in Chicago, Illinois. Kevin went into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the age of 68. He resided in South Bend, Indiana; a place he called home for 24 years. He was a man who knew how to fill a room with laughter and warmth. Kevin's journey through life was marked by his deep love for his family, his talent in the kitchen and his unwavering ability to make others smile. Kevin lived a life full of laughter and love touching everyone he met with his infectious humor and warm spirit. He was a man of simple joy, be it cooking up a storm or cracking jokes that would leave you in stitches. His knack for making people laugh was legendary and he was definitely the life of the party, and he knew how to bring the fun. Kevin always made sure he prayed and put God first, as his faith was rooted in Christ.

Kevin attended Horace Mann Elementary and South Shore High School in Chicago. He continued his education at Devry Institute. Kevin holds over 40 years of experience in the food service industry. He cooked for a wide range of businesses from McDonalds, Memorial Hospital, the prestigious University of Notre Dame as well as other major hotels and food chains. Kevin shifted his career choice and worked for Downtown South Bend for three years. He went into retirement in November of 2022. Kevin enjoyed singing; he studied the art of karate and loved watching movies. His favorite movie was The Five Heartbeats, and his favorite song was Imagination by Earth, Wind and Fire.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Arma Easley of South Bend; his beloved children, Kevin Scott, Angel Scott, Shaundell Easley and Timika (Miyoko) Pernell all of Chicago; Lakesha Battles of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Dominique Burrell of South Bend, Kelvin Burrell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kevin Burrell of Wabash, Indiana, and Darius (Amari) Burrell of Atlanta, Georgia; his siblings Denise Ervin and Sharon Westerfield both of South Bend; Dolly Sanders of Detroit, Michigan, Nicole Easley of Chicago, Gregory Easley of South Bend, Eric (Beverly) Easley of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, Woodruff Easley and Pierre Easley both also of South Bend; 23 Grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his significant other, Cheryl Green and bonus daughter Shau'Ri Sparkle Rae Rose; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by two sisters, Debra Mitchell and Victoria Washington and two brothers, Kelvin Easley and Vernon Easley.

The love, life and legacy of our beloved Kevin will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew him.
