Kevin Eglin

Kevin Eglin was born February 7, 1981, to Charlie and Leslie Eglin, joined by his sister Amy in 1982. He graduated from Davis High School in 1999, and moved to Bellevue, Washington, working in the real estate and technology fields. Kevin married Amber Adams in 2006, living with their beloved dogs in Renton until 2015. For the last eight years, Kevin's constant companion was Teela Allen. They lived in Klamath Falls before moving back to Yakima in 2021.
Kevin was witty, generous, and intelligent. He loved his extended family deeply. His interest in technology never wavered, and he spent much time studying a wide variety of interests, such as physics, world religions, and politics. He used AI to compose humorous songs, poetry, and birthday greetings for family members.
In 2015, after several major setbacks and the loss of his beloved grandma Bobbe, Kevin's long struggle with depression and anxiety increased. Despite the support of close family members, he lost this battle on November 8, 2025.
Kevin is survived by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Jordan Matson, and niece and nephews Eleanor, Benjamin, and Peter Matson, his grandmother Teresa Eglin, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins on both the Fortier and Eglin sides of his family. He was particularly close to and received major support from his aunts Tracy Eglin, Paula Fortier, Yvonne Schnellbach, and cousins Kyle Webster, Dane Webster, and Paul Fortier.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents John Eglin, Paul Fortier, and Bobbe Fortier.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Church in Moxee, followed by a celebration of his life in the parish hall.
