Devoted husband of over 50 years to Elyse Frei nee Kanter. Loving brother to Kathy (Al) Shomer, Kim (the Late Dennis) Higgins, Kris (Michael) DeFrank, and Karla Gellatly. Fond brother-in-law to the late Herb Kanter. Kind uncle to Susan (Chris) Newman, Stephanie (Harry) Kleiser, Steven (Amy) Shomer, Ryan Higgins, Erin (John) Darguzas, Colin (Lorraine) Higgins, Nicholas (Lori) DeFrank, Lauren DeFrank, Tami (Eric) Posey, and Danna (Joey) Miller. Caring cousin, great-uncle and beloved friend to many.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 1 pm. until the time of service at 4 pm. at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Avenue (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling, IL 60090.
In lieu of flowers, Kevin's family suggests memorials in his name to Harbor House Memory Care, 760 McHenry Rd Wheeling, IL 60090 or to Five Star Hospice and Palliative Care, 2500 W Higgins Rd., #1165, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169.
