Kevin D. Harder, 61, of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at his residence with his wife by his side.
Born December 10, 1962, in Washington, Indiana, he was the son of Paul and Fern (Harbin) Harder.
He married Joni Johnson on February 3, 1990, and she survives.
Kevin was a graduate of Shoals High School with the class of 1981 and graduated from ITT Technical Institute in 1983.
He worked as an Electronics Technician at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane and retired in July of 2024 after 41 years of service.
Kevin was a member of the West Shoals Church of Christ.
He loved his grand babies, fishing, hunting, camping, and coaching his girls on various sports teams. Kevin enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife and family. He was an avid sports fan, always watching the Hoosiers.
Surviving are his wife, Joni; children, Rachel (Vincent) Azzara, and Nicole (Dylan) Erwin; grandchildren, Eliza Azzara and Della Erwin; brothers, David Harder and Brian (Teresa) Harder; sisters-in-law, Connie (Steve) Boyer, Patti (Tony) Sanders, and Lana (Brad) Howell; brother-in-law, Clark Hewitt; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Alan Harder; and one sister-in-law, Kathy Hewitt.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Shoals Christian Church with Pat Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care and from 9:00 A.M. until the service hour on Saturday at the Shoals Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Martin County Cancer Patient Services.
