Kevin Shane Herrin-Ross

Kevin Shane Herrin-Ross, age 52, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2025. He was born to Paula Friend and Roger Ross on October 22, 1973.

Kevin graduated from Paden High School, and then he went to work at Kwikset until the closure of the plant. He was an office manager for a storage unit for several years and did maintenance at a local apartment complex for 16 years. He was just beginning a new chapter of life at the Grand Casino.

In 1996, Kevin met Michael Herrin and they were able to marry on October 20, 2014.

Kevin loved to cook and spend time at their home in Eufaula. He loved animals and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. He also enjoyed the occasional glass of wine. He absolutely loved going on cruises through the Caribbean with his husband.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Paula Friend; father, Roger Ross; aunt, whom he was close to, Pat Whisenhunt; and uncles, Bobby Ross, Sherman Ross, and Brent Cooper.

Kevin is survived by his husband, Michael Ray Herrin-Ross; sister-in-law, Susan Herrin; aunts, Vicky and Brenda Caldwell and Kathy (Friend) Cooper; uncle, Jerry Friend and his wife Mary; several cousins; and a host of friends.
