Kevin Clinton Hogge

Kevin Clinton Hogge, 55, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025. Born on March 14, 1970, in Hampton, Virginia, Kevin lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love. His journey on this earth was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, his work, and his many interests.

Kevin was the proud owner and painter at 2 Coats Painting, where his meticulous attention to detail and artistic flair left a lasting mark on every project he touched. His love for painting extended beyond his professional life, bringing him joy in the colors and textures of everyday life.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Kevin was an ardent Washington Commanders fan, following the team faithfully through its many chapters. His heart also belonged to the Virginia Tech Hokies, where he cheered on his home state with unwavering loyalty. NASCAR races were another source of excitement for Kevin, who never missed an opportunity to witness the thrill of the track.

Kevin's interests were as varied as they were deep. He had a keen eye for antiques and knickknacks, finding beauty and history in each piece he collected. One of his favorite pastimes was visiting the Outer Banks in North Carolina, where he found peace and inspiration by the sea.

He grew up attending Beechwood Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia, grounding his life in faith and community. A proud graduate of Denbigh High School's class of 1988, Kevin also studied at Thomas Nelson Community College, now known as Virginia Peninsula Community College.

Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Jean Hogge; grandparents Harold Eugene Pennington, Mary Isabelle Grimstead Pennington, Clinton Marble Hogge, Sr., and Daisy Comeal Hall.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Kimberly Spivey; daughter Hannah Powell and her husband Justin Powell; son Kc Olson; father Clinton Marble Hogge Jr.; brothers James "Chip" Diggs and Gene Diggs; sisters Tracie Costello and Vaneesa Davis; cherished granddaughter Zoey Powell; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. His loyal companions, Mudd Pie the cat and Gracie the dog, will also miss him dearly.

Kevin's life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 23, 2025, surrounded by family and friends who loved him deeply. His legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and artistry will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
