Kevin Edward Ingber, 66, of Westminster, MD passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, while holding the hand of his loving wife Joan Thonnard.
Born February 24, 1958 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Francis and Muriel (née Walsh) Ingber.
Kevin was a 1976 graduate of Pikesville High School and a proud participant in the Civil Air Patrol. After which he served in the U.S. Air Force until 1980. He was employed as an engineer with Verizon for over 40 years where he met his wife. He was a musician and performed keyboard, guitar and vocals in various bands at Fells Point. His last band was Eddy and the Haskyls. He held a fourth degree black belt from Kara No Ryu School of Martial Arts, and a black belt in Shudokan He participated in dog shows with his huskies, Luna and Misty. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing and riding his motorcycle to take in the view and pray at the Grotto of Lourdes at Mount St. Mary''s in Emmitsburg. He loved studying history, especially his Confederate heritage.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter, Rachael Thonnard; son-in-law, Julian Arias; brother, Joseph Ingber; sister-in-law, Stephanie Williams; sister, Kate Schniederman and her descendants; sister, Mary Anne Mirek (deceased) and her descendants; godson Chris Straub and many friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 26, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster with Father Leandro Fazolini as celebrant. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery, 818 Old Taneytown Road, Westminster, MD 21158.
A reception will be held post internment at LunaZul in Hampstead, 841 South Main Street, Suite E, Hampstead, MD 21074.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Maryland Food Bank, 2200 Halethorpe Farms Road, Baltimore, MD 21227.
