Kevin J. Kendall November 26, 1954 – March 26, 2025
Kevin J. Kendall of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away after a sudden illness. Born on November 26, 1954, to Hale Kendall and Nancy Baker, both of whom have preceded him in death, Kevin lived a life rich in passion, dedication, and friendships.
Kevin proudly served his country as a member of both the United States Marine Corps and Navy. After his military service, he dedicated himself to his craft as a master mechanic, eventually achieving his dream of owning and operating his own auto shop in Colorado. Over decades, his expertise and integrity earned him the trust and admiration of countless clients and friends. Beyond his career, Kevin was deeply involved with the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where he joyfully volunteered for many years. He also spent many hours of his free time fishing along the CT River, Long Island Sound and the 7 Mile River in CO.
Kevin's heart was filled with love for his family, his friends that became family and his loyal companion, Oreo, his beloved dog. Predeceased by his parents and stepmother, Treva, Kevin is survived by his loving daughters, Raquel Ciesones (Steven) and Karianne Kendall-Rand (Terence); his adored grandchildren, Amber Moroch, Kira Rand, and Silas Rand; and his great-granddaughter, Gianna Zaino. Among his siblings, he was the first to pass, leaving behind Cheryl Dreslin (Mickey), Gary Kendall (Judy), his twin brother Brian Kendall, Susan Orlowski (Tom), and Ronald Kendall (Mary). He will be remembered fondly by his many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. In addition to the family noted, he will be greatly missed by his friend who became a brother, Larry Hinds.
Kevin's legacy is one of hard work, generosity, and profound care for the people and causes he held close to his heart. Services to honor his life will be held privately in both Colorado and Connecticut with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Kevin's name to your local animal shelter-a tribute to his enduring love for animals.
Kevin will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
