Kevin Robert Magnuson was born on October 15, 1963 in Grand Forks, ND to Terrance and Marge (Brown) Magnuson. He graduated from East Grand Forks High School after which he attended the University of North Dakota. Kevin worked for the family business Westgate Motors from 1976 to 1989. Afterwards Kevin relocated to Warroad where he was owner and operator of Warroad Estates Marina from 1989 to the present. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Ruff Grouse Society.
Kevin loved to go hunting and fishing, flying model airplanes, riding snowmobiles, cars, cooking, and enjoyed watching Nascar. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He taught the value of fixing things you wanted over buying new gives it more value to the person.
He is survived by his son Terrance Magnuson; daughters Michelle Magnuson, Cassandra Hamlin, Jessica Hamlin, and Amanda Hamlin; grandchildren Justyce Hamlin, Jade McGuire, Christopher Hamlin, Natasha McGuire, Taylor Aker, Chloey Hamlin, Michael Hamlin, Mason Varty, Colton Grund, Bennett Varty, Easton Magnuson, Aiden Grund, and Emmit Hamlin; siblings Teresa Herk, Cheryl Jorgenson, Eric Magnuson, Steve (Kristi) Magnuson. He was preceded in death by his parents Terrance and Marge Magnuson.
A Memorial Service for Kevin Magnuson will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad at 2:00pm with a visitation an hour prior.
