Kevin Patrick Meehan, of Barnegat Light, New Jersey, passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 63.
Born on March 16, 1962, in Stuttgart, Germany on a U.S. Army base, Kevin was the beloved only son of Francis (Frank) Meehan and the late Elizabeth (Betty) Meehan. Proud of his full Irish heritage, with deep roots in Northern Ireland, Kevin carried that cultural pride with him throughout his life.
He grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, later settling in Yardley, Pennsylvania, where he raised his four children and built a career marked by intelligence, innovation, and leadership. Kevin worked and eventually retired as Vice President of Internet Security at The Boeing Company in 2020.
Outside of work, Kevin's true rhythm was music. A lifelong guitarist and performer, he played lead guitar and occasionally sang in rock and surf-rock bands for decades. Music wasn't just a hobby; it was a language through which he connected with others. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and seen, charming everyone he met with his warmth, wit, and unmistakable spark. Kevin always found peace in his home of Barnegat Light. It was his favorite place. The ocean, the small community, the smell of the waves were the things that made him smile.
Kevin was a proud father. He is survived by his father, Frank Meehan, and his four children: Jack Meehan (30), Megan Meehan (29), Molly Meehan (25), and Annie Meehan (23). Each of them carries forward his creativity, intelligence, and strength. Kevin's absence is immeasurable, but so is the legacy he leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:30 am until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 am at St. Clare's Church, 59 Long Beach Blvd, Loveladies, NJ 08008. Arrangements and private cremation are under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 1119 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, NJ 08008.

I am so saddened to hear of Kevin´s passing. All of you were so thoughtful and kind to the Ross family. We spent many great times at your legendary Christmas parties and of course all those great summers on 25th st. In BL. The world is little less bright and just not as fun now that he has left it. Peace and blessings to all of you. Love, the Ross Family: Will, Lena, Adele, Ian, John and Nicole
