With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Kevin J. Moran, Sr. of Westminster, MA on November 3, 2025. He passed away at Brigham and Women's Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and children, saying “some stories we keep to ourselves”. Born in Fitchburg, MA, on January 30, 1950, son of late M. Marcus Moran, Sr. and Claire (Aubuchon) Moran. Kevin lived a life filled with laughter and love. Known for his courageous and funny spirit, Kevin was a beacon of light and a true model of strength.
Kevin was a graduate of Julie Country Day School, Leominster, MA, Notre Dame High School, Fitchburg, MA, and Assumption College, Worcester, MA. Kevin was a man of many accomplishments. He held a Doctorate Degree from College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL, and was a respected member of his profession, having served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatry Association. For more than 35 years, Kevin devoted his career to the practice of podiatry. He opened a private practice in 1978 in Leominster, MA, and later became a part of the Fallon Clinic/Reliant Medical Group. His service to his profession was only exceeded by his commitment to his community. He was an active member of the Lions Club International in Westminster, MA, and the Rotary Club in Leominster, MA.
Yet, with all of his professional achievements and community involvement, Kevin's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kathy (McCall) Moran, four children, and seven grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by son Kevin Jr. and wife Lindsay Moran of Westminster, MA; son Ryan and wife Melissa Moran of Westminster, MA; daughter Meagan and husband Ross Jarvis of Quincy, MA; and daughter Colleen Moran of Westminster, MA, who were the center of his world. Pepere is also survived by his youngest fan club, his grandchildren; Sydney and Sawyer Moran, Ashley and Abigail Moran, and Jack, Devin, and Mason Jarvis. As a devoted husband, father, and Pepere, he found great pleasure in playing with his grandkids, watching Red Sox baseball, and swimming. His resilience and love for life were infectious, making him the life of every gathering. Kevin is previously deceased by his oldest brother M. Marcus Jr. and survived by wife Tonia Moran of Westminster, MA; and also survived by sister Michele and husband Elliot Zide of Peru, VT; brother Peter and wife Emilie Moran of Hudson, MA; and brother Gregory and wife Deirdre Moran of Westminster, MA. He is previously deceased by brother-in-law John McCall Jr. of Billerica, MA and survived by brother-in-law James McCall and wife Anne Hyde of Frisco, CO. Uncle Kevin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
"In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years," a quote that Kevin lived by. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate to have known him.
As we remember Kevin, we take solace in the words of the Bible, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Kevin’s life was a testament to this scripture, as he brought comfort and laughter to those around him.
The family wishes to thank all of the doctors and nurses of Brigham and Women's Hospital for many years of exceptional medical care.
